Xenolith - Spring Devlog

Hello again Huskerers,

Unfortunately, not too much of the game has changed since my devlog from January. Soon after that post, I got burnt out pretty hard with the project and was paralyzed and unable to work for a few weeks. By the time I had my energy back, the last term of my university course had come around and, get this, there was no artwork for me to work on! The course has stayed just an intensive but since I'm having to get my professional drawing fix from other places on top of my university course, it's left no time for a long term personal project.

That being said, I have spent a lot of time going over how I can release the update as soon as possible, because there is a lot of great content in the game that just hasn't been tied up yet for an exciting release. I'm hoping to wrap the update up and sack a few things that I wanted to improve with the base game, such as the embarrassingly primitive and low quality cutscenes for the important moments, and get a content expansion released before the second half of the year. Though my business with Husker will remain unfinished even past this update until I've got it all squeaky clean.

In February, I spent a couple days with two great friends of mine in Truro for the Cornwall Games Game Jam and we put together a game called Xenolith! if you like Husker, then you'll be thrilled to know that I once again have made a surreal dark exploration game with colorful NPCs, again... again.

Sorry about the delays my huskerlings, I hope you stay well and healthy and I'll write again next month.
